Five Platinum Honors Highlight Annual Banquet

RALEIGH (Oct. 19, 2017) – French/​West/​Vaughan (FWV) one of the nation’s largest independently-owned public relations, advertising and digital marketing agencies, was the runaway winner at the 2017 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards, the annual event hosted by the Raleigh Public Relations Society. FWV collected 20 award plaques, including five Platinum awards, the competition’s highest honor.

FWV account teams were recognized in the Platinum category for outstanding achievements on behalf of the Dude Ranchers Association (Branding Campaign), Fleet Feet (Community Relations), Wrangler Network (Viral Campaign), Pendleton Whiskey Directors’ Reserve (Digital Communications – Video) and Riders by Lee (Media Event).

The agency also took home six Gold and nine Silver awards for clients Wrangler (6), Fleet Feet (2), ABB (2), Nathan (running and sports accessories), Wilmington N.C. and Beaches, International Gemological Institute, Locus Biosciences and renown sports agent Leigh Steinberg.

The awards competition was judged by members of the Memphis Public Relations Society.

On the national level, FWV is the only N.C.-based public relations firm to ever win national Agency of the Year honors. The integrated marketing firm, currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, has earned 12 such awards, including seven in the past 18 months.
