Agency Event to Include Toy and Food Drive for Wake County Animal Shelter
RALEIGH, N.C. (June 14, 2018) — Dog owners across the United States will bring their four-legged companions to work on Friday, June 22 to celebrate this year’s 20th anniversary of Pet Sitters International Inc.’s Take Your Dog to Work Day®. One local company participating is French|West|Vaughan (FWV), a Raleigh-based integrated marketing agency.
In addition to allowing staff to bring their dogs to the office for the day, the agency will provide goody bags with treats and toys for the pooches and host a luncheon for employees and their pups at London Bridge Pub. The event will include a toy and food drive to benefit Wake County Animal Shelter. Those making a donation for the shelter will be entered into a raffle to win pet products donated by client sponsors.
“All of us at FWV really love animals, and since we have an entire division dedicated to pet and veterinary businesses, this is a special event for us,” said Rick French, Chairman & CEO of FWV. “Take Your Dog to Work Day is a terrific concept that has benefits for everyone, whether you are a dog owner or not, it’s going to be a memorable day.”
FWV’s Take Your Dog to Work Day celebration will be sponsored by three of its pet and veterinary practice clients, PetSafe® brand, Tomlyn® and ThunderWorks®. In addition to providing raffle prizes, each company will make product donations to Wake County Animal Shelter. PetSafe® brand also donated a drinking fountain for pets in the FWV office in honor of Pet Hydration Month, an annual educational campaign promoted by the brand every July, reminding pet owners about the importance of pet hydration during the summer months.
“We’re so excited to participate in this year’s event,” said Kristen Levine, pet living expert and senior vice president of FWV Fetching. “Not only will it be a fun opportunity to spend the whole work day with our dogs, it will be great for our company as well. Studies show that allowing dogs in the office can positively impact employee morale, productivity, retention and may even encourage pet adoption. For employees without pets, this type of event can show them the bonds their colleagues have with their dogs, which may influence them to consider adopting their own best friend.”
