FRENCH/WEST/VAUGHAN ANNOUNCES NEW HIRES AND PROMOTIONS

Agency Welcomes Carol Lewis, Vice President – Media Director

RALEIGH, N.C. (Dec. 2, 2015) – French/​West/​Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s leading independently held public relations, advertising and digital marketing agencies, today announced eight new hires and eight promotions.

The agency welcomes Carol Lewis as vice president – media director. Lewis’ 30-year career has been devoted to delivering exceptional, innovative, scalable, accountable and measurable media solutions. She previously led all digital and offline media as vice president, director of media planning at McKinney for accounts including Audi North America, Ben & Jerry’s, Lands’ End, NASDAQ and many others.

As senior vice president, executive media director of The Buntin Group in Nashville, Tenn. – her most recent position before joining FWV – Lewis oversaw research, strategy, planning and execution for digital and offline media for accounts including SERVPRO, Tennessee Education Lottery, Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management and Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets. Earlier in her career, as vice president co-media director and director of broadcast, Grey-Western division, she oversaw all network and local broadcast for accounts including Bank of America, SunMaid Raisins and Church’s Chicken. Lewis is a Raleigh native and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Lacie Lindstaedt joins FWV as account supervisor, arriving from the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, where she served as director of communications & membership. Lindstaedt has extensive knowledge and experience in planning for fundraising and engaging with community partnerships. She received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from San Diego State University.

FWV welcomes Debbie Vandiford as senior account executive. Vandiford has a strong advertising and writing background, most recently at MSA, where she managed the UNC Health Care account. Prior to MSA, she assisted on retail and hospitality clients with Agency212 in New York City. She has a B.A. in journalism & mass communication as well as psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jennie Klahre comes to FWV as senior account executive. Klahre previously worked for RLF Communications in Greensboro where she managed accounts including the Chesapeake, Va. Convention & Visitors Bureau, Chesapeake Economic Development department and CNL Financial Group. She is originally from Apex and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Media and Journalism.

Sara Beth Doherty joins the agency as account executive. Doherty prior worked as a communications specialist with Divi Resorts in Chapel Hill, N.C. and was formerly a resort association coordinator for Orlando-based Capital Resorts Group. She graduated from High Point University with a major in strategic communication and minor in non-profit leadership.

FWV welcomes Rachel Hollar as account executive. Hollar hails from Intouch Solutions in Overland Park, Kansas and has experience in social media, media relations and investor relations in a variety of sectors including health care. Rachel received her B.S. in journalism at the University of Kansas.

Jordan Nowlin joins FWV as social media specialist. She comes to the agency from ChannelAdvisor in Morrisville, N.C. where she was social media and blog manager. Nowlin has considerable experience in social media and digital strategy, content creation, monitoring and analytics.

The agency has also brought Morgan Dougherty on board as account coordinator. A former intern, she rejoins FWV from VF Corporation where she served as collaboration associate for the Global Business Technology team focusing on internal communications.

FWV congratulates Jenny Pilewski on her promotion to senior vice president. With FWV since 2004, Jenny oversees public relations, advertising and social media efforts for the agency’s apparel, footwear and spirits account group, including clients Wrangler, Riders by Lee, Justin Brands, Inc., NATHAN, Fleet Feet, Airplus, Pendleton Whisky and BRAND Napa Valley.

Dawn Marie Strzepek has been promoted to creative director. Strzepek runs FWV’s creative department, managing the creative team and leading branding and strategy initiatives across all creative accounts including photography and video direction. With over nine years of branding experience, she has a background in product design and development, packaging, interactive design, campaign strategy and direction.

The agency also congratulates both Allison Showalter and Leah Knepper on their promotions to associate vice president. Showalter leads FWV’s day-to-day account management and strategic counsel for brands including Justin Brands, NATHAN Sports and Fleet Feet Sports, and Knepper oversees FWV’s Travel & Tourism practice on behalf of clients such as Tweetsie Railroad, Wilmington and Beaches CVB and the Dude Ranchers’ Association.

In addition, FWV announces the following promotions: Amy Lacker to group account director, Molly Ashbaugh to graphic designer, Caitlin Vargas to account executive and Shina Jackson to account executive.
