FWV ANNOUNCES NINE HIRES AND TWO PROMOTIONS AS AGENCY CONTINUES TO EXPAND

Specialists in Brand Strategy, Public Relations and Social Media Added in Raleigh Headquarters to Serve Growing Client Roster 

RALEIGH, N.C. (July 17, 2018)French/​West/​Vaughan (FWV) one of the nation’s largest independently-owned public relations, advertising and digital marketing agencies, today announced nine new hires and two promotions in its Raleigh headquarters. It is the second such announcement in 2018 as the agency grows to serve an expanding client roster that includes Wrangler, Hood River Distillers, ABB, Melitta, Bassett Furniture, Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, Volvo Trucks North America and The J. Peterman Company.

Shea Carter has been named Associate Vice President, Social Media & Influencer Marketing. Carter comes to FWV from MMGY Global where as vice president she developed and led social media and influencer network programs for accounts that included Lufthansa, Princess Cruises, Club Med, Canyon Ranch, Radisson Rewards, The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel and San Francisco Travel.

Caroline Hayward joins FWV as Brand Planner, having worked previously with agencies Havas and MullenLowe, where she handled consumer and market trend research to develop brand strategy for clients including Hanes, Visit Asheville, Ulta Beauty, Coldwater Creek and others in the beauty, outdoor, travel and retail sectors. Hayward is a Dean’s List and Cum Laude graduate of Wake Forest and holds a Master’s degree from the Wake Forest University School of Business

Evan Boyer has been hired as Account Supervisor, coming from Nashville after two years with GS&F and prior stints in Atlanta with Function and Cookerly Public Relations. Boyer’s client experience includes work for Hunter Douglas, Milliken, Tractor Supply Co. and Topgolf. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of NC State University.

Colleen Vallely joins as Account Supervisor after working with Connecticut-based agencies specializing in packaging, branding and shopper marketing for large CPG brands managing new product launches, line refreshes and annual marketing plans. Vallely graduated Cum Laude from the University of Dayton.

Sarah Teal has also been named as Account Supervisor, having previously served as public relations manager for JAGGAER and as PR coordinator for BTB Marketing. She is a graduate of UNC – Wilmington.

Account Executive Peyton Burgess joins FWV from FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications group where she served as a senior consultant focusing on corporate reputation for clients in the technology, energy and industrial sectors. Burgess is a graduate of UNC – Chapel Hill.

Jaimee Geoffrey-White will serve as Account Coordinator, having completed internships with MSL Group and FWV Fetching, the agency’s pet and veterinary marketing practice. She graduated from Curry College where she was named Public Relations Student of the Year.

Alaina Ruggery joins the Travel & Tourism team as Account Coordinator following internships at FWV, Patheon, Midtown Events (a division of Kane Realty) and Intrepid Marketing Group, and a part-time position with Capital Broadcasting Company. Ruggery is a Dean’s List graduate of NC State University.

Brewer Owen will serve as Account Coordinator in the Sports & Entertainment practice, having completed an agency internship. Owen has prior experience at the ACC Sports Journal, The David Glenn Show and the Durham Bulls organization. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

FWV has also promoted Meg Byers to Senior Account Supervisor and Dana Edwards to Account Supervisor. Byers is engaged on accounts that include HR Florida, UNC-Pembroke, N.C. DOT, The J. Peterman Company, Smith Anderson and Skytrak. Edwards supports the account group that includes Wilmington and Beaches CVB, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Bassett Furniture.
