ACVO®, Stokes Pharmacy Partner with FWV Fetching for Tenth Consecutive Year on Signature Campaign

Posted

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 2, 2019) — Thanks to a multi-sector partnership among veterinary specialists, a custom prescription pharmacy and an innovative marketing agency, thousands of Service and Working Animals will receive sight-saving eye exams this month.

The American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO®) and Stokes Pharmacy are once again teaming up to provide optical health screenings to protect the safety of both the animals and their handlers. FWV Fetching, the Pet & Vet division of French/West/Vaughan (FWV), will serve the public relations partner for the tenth consecutive year.

ACVO and Stokes Pharmacy are fantastic organizations which provide an invaluable benefit to Service and Working Animals and their handlers at no cost,” said Kristen Levine, FWV Fetching President. It’s an honor to promote their incredible work and leverage our expertise and networks to ensure continued success.”

FWV Fetching’s pet and veterinary marketing specialists develop press materials, interview participants, pitch relevant stories and secure interviews in dozens of media markets throughout the country. This publicity has resulted in a steady increase for the optical exam program, resulting in screenings for even more animals.

We are proud to say we will reach nearly 8,000 Service and Workings Animals this month,” said Stacee Daniel, ACVO CEO and Executive Director. This sight-preserving work would not be possible without our partnership with Stokes Pharmacy, FWV Fetching and the hundreds of ophthalmologists and their amazing staff around the world, who voluntarily contribute to this important cause.”

Over 300 board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists will donate time and resources to provide free screening exams to qualified dogs, horses, miniature horses, donkeys, alpacas and cats. Active working animals include: guide, hearing assistance, drug detection, police/military, search and rescue, therapy and disability assistance animals trained through a formal program.

The ACVO/StokesRX National Service Animal Eye Exam Event launched in 2008 and has provided more than 68,000 free eye exams since its inception. This year’s event is sponsored by ACVO® and Stokes Pharmacy, as well as several generous industry sponsors.
