2017 Honorees to be Recognized at New York City Awards Luncheon

RALEIGH (Jan. 24, 2017) – French/West/Vaughan (FWV) one of the nation’s largest independently-owned public relations, advertising and digital marketing agencies, and winner of five separate Agency of the Year awards over the past 12 months, today announced that agency partner and Executive Vice President Natalie Best has been selected by PR News as one of its 2017 Top Women in PR. 

This year’s Top Women in PR honorees, representing women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, influence and the highest levels of accomplishment in the public relations industry, will be celebrated by PR News at an awards luncheon today, beginning at 12 p.m. ET at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

Best joined FWV in 2002 after working in PR and communications for the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets and at NBA corporate headquarters in New York City. She quickly became an influential member of the FWV management team, playing a major role in the growth of the agency, including business development, client retention, professional development and recruitment. Currently serving as Executive Vice President & Director of Client Services, Best became an agency principal in 2009.

In addition to her responsibilities at FWV, Best has been an active member of the community, serving as a director and advisor on numerous non-profit boards, including NC Child (Board of Directors, 2008-2015), Alexander Family YMCA (Advisory Board 2012-present), the Poe Center for Health Education (Board of Directors, 2005-2013) and the UNC Media and Journalism School Alumni & Friends Board. She is a Triangle Business Journal “40 Under 40” Leadership Award Winner, a graduate of Leadership Raleigh and a Business Leader Magazine “Mover & Shaker.”

Since Best joined FWV, the agency has emerged as one of America’s most successful mid-sized public relations, advertising and digital marketing firms, employing over 100 professionals and with total billings that place FWV within the 20 largest independently-owned PR firms in the country. The agency earned four separate PR industry Agency of the Year honors in 2016 and another in 2017, and was ranked in the Top 10 of the Holmes Report Global Creative Index.
