Agency Recognized for Work on Behalf of More than a Dozen Clients
RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 24, 2015) – French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s leading independently held public relations, advertising and digital marketing agencies, took home 18 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards – including a “Best in Division” honor, the night’s highest designation – as part of the annual recognition program hosted by the Raleigh Public Relations Society (RPRS).
The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards acknowledge exemplary work by public relations and communications professionals throughout North Carolina. Evaluated by an independent panel of judges from the Tampa, Fla. Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), recipients were recognized for work conducted during the 2014 calendar year and honored at a banquet held Sept. 23.
The agency’s 18 honors included a “Best in Division” recognition in the “More Bang for the Buck” category on behalf of Wilmington and Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau, as well as accolades on behalf of Wrangler, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Bassett Furniture, Pendleton Whisky, Michael Vick, Riders by Lee, NATHAN Sports, TyraTech, Vamousse, Holt Brothers, Moves Magazine and Melitta Coffee.
“We are honored that our peers from the Tampa chapter of PRSA found our campaigns to be worthy of recognition,” said FWV Chairman & CEO Rick French. “FWV has had a terrific year as a result of great work conducted by our talented professionals, on behalf of an amazing roster of clients. These awards – spanning integrated campaigns, writing, social media and websites – represent the diversity of high-caliber work we continue to produce.”
The agency ranks among the nation’s 20 largest independently-held PR firms and has also been ranked as the largest independent PR agency headquartered in the Southeast region for 11 consecutive years, according to the O’Dwyer’s Ranking of PR Firms. FWV is the first and only N.C.-based firm to capture not one or two or three, but four coveted “National Agency of the Year” awards (The Holmes Report and Bulldog Reporter), and is also the first N.C.-based company to top the list of the world’s fastest-growing agencies as measured by year-over-year percentage growth (PR Week).
French/West/Vaughan (FWV) is one of the nation’s leading public relations, public affairs, advertising and digital media agencies, with offices in Raleigh, New York City, Los Angeles and Tampa. National, international and local clients represented by the agency include Wrangler, Justin Brands, ABB, Hood River Distillers, Melitta, International Gemological Institute (IGI) and Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurants.
